Working with a registered NDIS provider
As a registered NDIS provider, Absolute Care & Health has been approved by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission and audited against the NDIS Practice Standards. In practical terms, that means two things for you.
First, participants whose plans are NDIA-managed can only use registered providers, so registration matters if that’s you.
Second, registration means there’s external oversight of how we work: our worker screening, our incident management, our complaints process, and the quality of the support we deliver. It isn’t the only marker of a good provider, but it is one you can verify independently.
New to the scheme and still working out how it fits together? Our guide to what the NDIS is and how it works covers eligibility, funding categories and the application process in plain English.
Our NDIS services in Melbourne
We provide a wide range of NDIS supports, all delivered by qualified disability support workers, personal care attendants and nurses. Every service is built around your plan goals — not a fixed package. As a registered provider, we follow the NDIS Price Guide for everything we deliver.

Personal care and daily living support
Help with the everyday things that make independence possible, such as showering, dressing, grooming, toileting, medication prompting and getting ready for the day. We also provide high intensity daily personal activities where your needs are more complex.

NDIS cleaning services and help around the home
Household tasks funded under your Core supports — cleaning, laundry, linen changes, dishes, tidying and general home help. If your disability makes it difficult to keep on top of the house, this is what that funding is for.

Meal preparation and shopping
Support with planning meals, preparing food, and shopping — either alongside you or on your behalf, depending on what works.

Assistance with daily life
Support to develop daily living and life skills, and help coordinating and managing life stages, transitions and supports.

NDIS transport services
Getting to appointments, social visits, work, study or anywhere else you need to go. We provide assistance with travel and can help coordinate transport arrangements that suit your routine.

NDIS nursing services
Clinical care at home, short-term or ongoing, delivered by registered and enrolled nurses. This includes wound care, medication management, continence support and complex care needs.

Social and community participation
Getting out and staying connected. We support participants to take part in community and social activities, group and centre-based activities, hobbies and interests, and innovative community participation. We can also help you build the daily living and life skills that make participating easier.

24-hour and overnight support
Where your needs require it, we can provide support around the clock. A 24/7 programme runs on a team of workers overseen by a dedicated Care Manager, with targeted training from our Complex Care Nurse where needed.

Specialist disability supports
We also support participants living with acquired brain injury and cerebral palsy, and provide respite for family carers.

Our NDIS support workers
The person who turns up matters more than anything else we do. We have hundreds of support workers across Melbourne, offering a wide range of languages and cultural backgrounds. So we can usually match you with someone who fits, not just someone who’s available.
All our NDIS support workers hold current NDIS Worker Screening Checks and relevant qualifications, and receive ongoing training. Where a participant has complex needs, our Complex Care Nurse provides targeted training to the team supporting them.
Whatever services you’re receiving, it’s important you feel you have the right person supporting you. We take our brief from you about the sort of person you’d like to have working with you and involve you in their selection. If the match isn’t right, tell us and we’ll change it.
What our NDIS services cost
As a registered NDIS provider, we charge in line with the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits. The price guide the NDIA publishes and updates each year. That means our rates for a given support are capped at the same limits as every other registered provider, and there are no hidden fees or exit charges.
What you’ll pay from your plan depends on which supports you use, how many hours, and when they’re delivered. Evenings, weekends and public holidays are priced differently under the guide.
We’ll set all of this out clearly in your service agreement before anything starts, so you know exactly what’s being drawn from which budget. If you’d like an estimate for your situation, get in touch and we’ll walk you through it.
Support isn’t only funded through the NDIS. If you’re looking at other pathways, see our funding options.

- Specialist disability team. Our NDIS supports are led by a specialist team, not run as a sideline to aged care.
- Genuine choice of worker. You're involved in selecting who supports you, and you can change if it isn't right.
- Scalable support. From a couple of hours a week to 24/7 care, adjusted as your needs change.

We know one size doesn’t fit all. That’s why we start by understanding your goals, your needs and your values, and build the support around them.
NDIS frequently asked questions (FAQs)
These are some of the most common questions, answered for you.
Is Absolute Care & Health a registered NDIS provider?
Yes. We’re a registered NDIS provider, approved by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission and audited against the NDIS Practice Standards.
What NDIS services do you provide in Melbourne?
Personal support and daily living support, domestic assistance and cleaning, meal preparation, social and community participation, transport, community nursing, assistance with daily life, respite, and 24-hour support. We also support participants living with acquired brain injury and cerebral palsy.
Which Melbourne suburbs do you service?
We cover Melbourne metro (inner city, the western suburbs out to Werribee, and the northern, eastern and south-eastern suburbs) and the Mornington Peninsula. If you’re unsure whether we reach your area, give us a call on 1300 030 032.
How much do your NDIS services cost?
We charge in line with the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits, the price guide published by the NDIA. Your actual cost depends on which supports you use, how many hours, and when they’re delivered. Everything is set out in your service agreement before support begins, and there are no hidden or exit fees.
How do I start receiving support?
Call us on 1300 030 032 or get in touch through our contact page. We’ll talk through what you need, build a service agreement with you, match you with support workers, and get started. There’s no obligation to proceed at any stage.
Do you provide support coordination or plan management?
No. We don’t provide support coordination or plan management ourselves. We work alongside your support coordinator or plan manager to deliver the supports set out in your plan. If you don’t have one, we can point you in the right direction.
Can I choose my own support worker?
Yes. We take our brief from you about the sort of person you’d like working with you and involve you in their selection. If the match isn’t working, tell us and we’ll change it. That’s your right under the NDIS and we treat it that way.
How quickly can support start?
It depends on the supports you need and how complex the match is, but we can usually get things moving quickly. Call us and we’ll give you a realistic timeframe for your situation rather than a generic one.
What's the difference between a registered and an unregistered NDIS provider?
Registered providers have been approved by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission and audited against the NDIS Practice Standards. Unregistered providers haven’t been through that process. They can still deliver good support, but they can only be used by self-managed and plan-managed participants. NDIA-managed participants must use registered providers.

What our participants say about us
“Mary’s support has been life changing for me. Being hearing impaired and a lipreader who has been blinded by the wearing of masks in the community, Mary has acted as my eyes and ears and has helped me understand complex issues with Govt organisation over phone, and by my side in person as my advocate.
Mary is very professional, but most importantly she is patient and kind with a caring holistic approach to my disablements which has gone a long way to help ease my stress and anxiety during the lengthy extreme on off isolation periods from covid directives.
Mary is a real asset to Absolute Care & Health.”
