Domestic assistance under Support at Home & NDIS

Domestic assistance is one of the most commonly funded in-home supports, whichever pathway you’re on:

Support at Home

Domestic assistance is a core Support at Home service category, covering everyday help like cleaning, laundry and household tasks so you can stay living independently at home.

NDIS

For NDIS participants, this kind of everyday household help is usually referred to as assistance with personal domestic activities, funded under your plan's Core Supports. We're a registered NDIS provider and can help you understand how it fits your plan.

Private funding

No assessment or waitlist required. If you'd like domestic assistance sooner, or want to top up your funded hours, you can arrange private home help directly with us at a simple hourly rate.

Not sure which funding applies to you, or how disability home help differs from aged care home help? Call us on 1300 030 032 and we’ll talk it through.

How much does domestic assistance cost?

Cost depends on your funding pathway and how many hours of home help you need. If you’re funded through Support at Home or NDIS, domestic assistance is charged against your approved budget at standard service rates. If you’re arranging private domestic assistance, you simply pay an hourly rate for the help you want.

Rather than a flat figure, we’ll put together a clear, itemised quote once we understand your situation, so you know exactly what to expect before support begins. See our funding options for more detail, or call us to talk it through.
