In-Home Nursing Care
Professional, considerate nursing services in your own home
Hospital-quality nursing care at home
- Delivered in the comfort and familiarity of your own home
Absolute Care & Health’s nurses provide clinical nursing care in Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula from wound care and medication management to post-hospital recovery and palliative support.
Whether you’re recovering from an injury, have a long-term illness or need support managing a chronic condition, in-home nursing gives you the clinical support you need to improve or maintain your health and wellbeing.
Our in-home nursing care can be funded through the Support at Home program, the NDIS, TAC and WorkCover, or arranged privately and our care team will help you understand exactly which pathway applies to you.
Who our home nursing services support

Older Australians
If you or a loved one want to stay living safely at home as clinical needs increase, our nurses work alongside your care team to manage health conditions, prevent hospital visits, and preserve independence. Under the Support at Home program, clinical care such as nursing attracts full government contribution, meaning eligible older Australians pay nothing towards their nursing services.

NDIS Participants
Our NDIS nursing services support participants with complex health and disability-related nursing needs, including continence care, medication support and training for support workers under nurse delegation. We work with you, your support coordinator and your plan to deliver the nursing supports funded in your NDIS plan.

People Recovering from Injury or Surgery
Coming home from hospital after surgery, an accident, or a workplace injury? Our nurses provide post-hospital and rehabilitation nursing at home, including care funded through TAC and WorkCover, so you can recover where you heal best at home.

Nursing services you can trust
Our nurses are employed, screened and clinically supervised by our Melbourne-based team. We do not source.
Because we’re a Melbourne provider with our head office in South Yarra, our clinical team can respond quickly when needs change. It’s the difference between a nursing service and a nursing partner.
How in-home nursing care is funded
One of the first questions families ask is “what will nursing care at home cost?” The answer depends on your funding pathway. In many cases, your nursing care is fully funded. Here’s how each option works:
Support at Home
Under Support at Home, clinical supports such as nursing care attract a 100% government contribution. Eligible participants make no contribution towards nursing services regardless of income. Learn more about Support at Home costs and contributions.
NDIS
If your NDIS plan includes community nursing or disability-related health supports, we can deliver those nursing services at home under your plan. Our team can help you and your support coordinator map your plan funding to the nursing care you need.
TAC & WorkCover
Recovering from a transport accident or workplace injury? Nursing care at home can be funded through your TAC or WorkCover claim as part of your recovery plan. We work directly with claims managers and treating teams so you can focus on getting better.
Private Nursing Care
No funding package? You can arrange private nursing care directly with us with no waiting for assessments or approvals. Private in-home nursing is often more affordable than families expect, particularly compared with hospital or residential alternatives and you only pay for the care you actually use. If you need broader day-to-day support alongside your nursing care, our private home care services cover personal care, domestic assistance, and companionship as well.
