Personal Care

Respectful, dignified support with the everyday things that matter.

Personal Care Services in Melbourne

Personal care is one of the most personal supports we provide, and we treat it that way.

Whether you just need a hand getting showered and dressed in the morning, or full personal care support with your daily hygiene, mobility and comfort, our personal care services are delivered across Melbourne with the same respect and understanding we’d want for our own family.

We provide personal care for seniors, NDIS participants and private clients alike. Whether that support is funded through a Support at Home, an NDIS plan, or paid for privately as private personal care.

If you’re searching for personal care assistance in Melbourne, or personal care near you wherever you are in the city, we’ll match the right carer to your needs, your routine and your preferences, so you can stay safe, comfortable and independent in your own home.

What our personal care includes?

Personal care covers the everyday, hands-on support that keeps you safe, comfortable and confident at home. Depending on what you need, our personal care workers can help with:

Showering, bathing & personal hygiene

Whether you need a hand getting in and out of the shower safely or full support with bathing and hygiene, we help you start and end your day feeling clean, comfortable and dignified at the pace and level of privacy you’re comfortable with.

Toileting & continence support

Discreet, respectful continence and toileting support, delivered without fuss and always with your dignity front of mind.

Enteral & PEG feeding, and complex personal care

For clients with more complex needs, including enteral or PEG feeding and pressure or bed care, our carers work under appropriate clinical guidance so you can stay safely and comfortably at home rather than in a clinical setting.

Meals & aspiration risk

Support with eating and drinking safely, including for clients with swallowing difficulties or aspiration risk, so mealtimes stay enjoyable rather than stressful.

Mobility support & hoisting

From help moving safely around the home to hoisting and transfers for clients with higher support needs, our carers are trained to keep you moving safely and comfortably, and to reduce fall risk along the way.

Grooming & dressing

From hair and skin care to help getting dressed in the clothes you want to wear, our carers support your grooming routine so you can look and feel like yourself, every day.

Who personal care is for

Personal care support looks different for everyone, and it isn’t just an aged care service. We provide personal care for:

If you need support around the clock, personal care can also be arranged as live-in personal care or full 24 hour personal care. See our 24-Hour Care page for details.

If you’re not sure which of these applies to you, that’s completely normal. Call us on 1300 030 032 and we’ll help you work out what’s possible and how it can be funded.

How much does personal care cost?

Cost depends on how your personal care is funded and how much support you need. If you have a Support at Home budget, personal care is typically drawn from your approved funding, with any contribution depending on your circumstances.

NDIS participants can usually have personal care funded as part of Core Supports in their plan. If you’re arranging care privately, you’ll pay an hourly rate for the support you need, with no assessment or waiting required to get started.

Rather than a single flat figure, we’ll talk through your situation and give you a clear idea of cost before care begins. You can also read more about Support at Home contributions, or get in touch to talk through private personal care.
