Your community supports

Whether we're assisting with transport to social events or lending a hand with educational pursuits, we provide the supports, so you can get the best out of community and government services.

Sound good? Great! All you need to do is let us know your preferences for a support worker, and we'll find the right person to provide community supports.

Community support services

Based in Melbourne, our team of disability support workers will enable you to connect with your community. If you've outlined goals in your NDIS plan like 'joining a community class' or 'visiting a friend every Tuesday', we'll help you get there.

Community-based supports

Based on your personalised NDIS plan, our disability support workers can help you make (and keep) connections with a community of your choice. We can provide support with:

  • Attending community, social, and recreational activities
  • Accessing education programs
  • Participating in employment or volunteering activities

Health and wellbeing

Accidents happen, which is why our support workers have first aid training. For acute medical conditions, we also provide:

  • Community nursing
  • Registered and enrolled nurses
  • Transport to connected allied health services and medical appointments

Connecting with the right support worker for you

Our support workers play a small but integral role in assisting with daily community services and activities. You'll be working together on a regular basis (depending on your NDIS plan), so it's important we team you up with the right person.

We'll take into consideration factors like:

  • Personality
  • Culture
  • Multilingual needs, if applicable
  • Preference for gender, if applicable
  • Awareness of the different LGBTI+ identities

"At Absolute Care & Health everyone is incredibly nice. They did a lot of work to make sure that we have the right carers, ones that we can feel at home with."
